According to CTIA GROUP, the Caosiyao molybdenum mine has entered the development stage. Located in Xinghe County, Ulanqab City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, it is an ultra-large porphyry molybdenum deposit with enormous resource reserves. The total investment of the project is nearly RMB 10 billion. After commissioning, the project is expected to gradually establish a full industrial chain cluster covering mining, beneficiation, smelting, and processing, with an estimated annual output value of nearly RMB 10 billion.

The Caosiyao molybdenum mine plans an initial open-pit mining and construction scale of 16.5 million tons/year, with a service life of 45 years (including a 2-year construction period). In the later stage, it will be converted to underground mining with a production scale of 8.25 million tons/year, bringing the total service life to 72 years. According to the beneficiation test report, the molybdenum ore will be processed using a combined column-flotation cell process consisting of three-stage two-closed-circuit crushing plus one-stage grinding. The roughing section adopts one roughing, three scavenging, and one pre-concentration stage, while the cleaning section involves regrinding and classification of rough concentrates followed by four cleaning stages and three concentrate scavenging stages.
The Caosiyao molybdenum mine possesses considerable resource reserves and contains associated valuable elements including molybdenum, lead, zinc, tungsten, gold, silver, and sulfur. Its resource reserves rank among the leading deposits of the same type in China. The deposit features shallow burial depth, thick ore bodies, abundant reserves, and low mining difficulty, demonstrating significant resource endowment advantages.
