According to the import and export data of China’s molybdenum products released by the General Administration of Customs and compiled by CTIA GROUP, from January to April 2026, China’s cumulative import volume of molybdenum products was 37,729.50 tons, increased by 27.30% year-on-year; the cumulative import value was RMB 5.977 billion, increased by 38.52% year-on-year.

Among them, from January to April, China imported 9,582.27 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 136.97% year-on-year; 24,735.75 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 16.77% year-on-year; 699.76 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increased by 69.68% year-on-year; 786.06 tons of ammonium molybdate, increased by 16.71% year-on-year; 472.45 tons of other molybdates, increased by 5.43% year-on-year; 1,333.01 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 51.99% year-on-year; 0.80 tons of molybdenum powder, decreased by 20.94% year-on-year; 10.42 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, decreased by 1.06% year-on-year; 68.31 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and special-shaped sections, plates, sheets, strips and foils, decreased by 5.67% year-on-year; 14.06 tons of molybdenum wire, increased by 76.49% year-on-year; and 26.60 tons of other molybdenum products, increased by 175.35% year-on-year.
From January to April 2026, China’s cumulative export volume of molybdenum products was 11,141.22 tons, decreased by 17.54% year-on-year; the cumulative export value was RMB 2.811 billion, decreased by 1.82% year-on-year.

Among them, from January to April, China exported 5,077.30 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 3.41% year-on-year; 2,490.94 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, decreased by 21.52% year-on-year; 428.31 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 44.59% year-on-year; 26.77 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 76.74% year-on-year; 97.27 tons of other molybdates, decreased by 24.59% year-on-year; 1,736.80 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 30.59% year-on-year; 17.43 tons of molybdenum powder, increased by 163.65% year-on-year; 584.03 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, decreased by 19.18% year-on-year; 110.76 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and special-shaped sections, plates, sheets, strips and foils, decreased by 56.24% year-on-year; 92.55 tons of molybdenum wire, decreased by 5.50% year-on-year; 234.03 tons of molybdenum waste and scrap, decreased by 69.31% year-on-year; and 245.04 tons of other molybdenum products, increased by 276.24% year-on-year.
