According to the import and export data of China’s molybdenum products released by the General Administration of Customs and compiled by CTIA GROUP, in April 2026, China’s import volume of molybdenum products was 11,702.38 tons, increased by 11.76% month-on-month and increased by 40.22% year-on-year; the import value was RMB 1.67 billion, decreased by 0.61% month-on-month and increased by 34.22% year-on-year.

Among them, in April, China imported 1,980.04 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 6.32% year-on-year; 8,859.77 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 62.17% year-on-year; 189.21 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increased by 670.97% year-on-year; 163.05 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 1.78% year-on-year; 58.61 tons of other molybdates, decreased by 30.99% year-on-year; 422.01 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 40.16% year-on-year; 354.00 kg of molybdenum powder, increased by 1080.00% year-on-year; 2,310.00 kg of unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, decreased by 76.89% year-on-year; 22.47 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and special-shaped sections, plates, sheets, strips and foils, increased by 3.42% year-on-year; 3.28 tons of molybdenum wire, decreased by 19.56% year-on-year; and 1.29 tons of other molybdenum products, decreased by 66.18% year-on-year.
In April 2026, China’s export volume of molybdenum products was 3,592.77 tons, increased by 6.26% month-on-month and decreased by 9.63% year-on-year; the export value was RMB 926 million, increased by 7.26% month-on-month and increased by 13.88% year-on-year.

Among them, in April, China exported 1,389.40 tons of roasted molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 3.92% year-on-year; 1,167.11 tons of other molybdenum ores and concentrates, increased by 8.49% year-on-year; 80.90 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreased by 50.86% year-on-year; 5.42 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreased by 85.18% year-on-year; 25.42 tons of other molybdates, increased by 1.26% year-on-year; 527.80 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreased by 38.15% year-on-year; 0.83 tons of molybdenum powder; 186.74 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including bars and rods obtained simply by sintering, decreased by 10.65% year-on-year; 29.88 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles and special-shaped sections, plates, sheets, strips and foils, decreased by 19.14% year-on-year; 23.05 tons of molybdenum wire, decreased by 25.39% year-on-year; 73.24 tons of molybdenum waste and scrap, decreased by 61.04% year-on-year; and 82.98 tons of other molybdenum products, increased by 354.46% year-on-year.
