
According to data compiled by Chinatungsten Online from the General Administration of Customs, from January to April 2026, China's imports of tungsten products (excluding cemented carbide tools and tungsten halogen lamps) totaled 10,600 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 114.79% compared to the same period in 2025. The import value reached RMB 4.073 billion, up 533.39% year-on-year.
From January to April 2026, China imported:
Tungsten ores & concentrates: 10,200 tons, a year-on-year increase of 169.61%.
Tungsten trioxides: 42.48 tons, a year-on-year increase of 675.54%.
Ammonium paratungstate: 4,980 kg (only 5 kg in the same period last year).
Ferro-tungsten: 271 kg, a year-on-year increase of 632.43%.
Tungsten wire: 1,688 kg, a year-on-year increase of 13.98%.
Bars & rods, exclude those obtained simply by sintering. profiles, plates, sheets, strip, foil: 4,924 kg, a year-on-year increase of 121.20%.
Other tungsten oxides & hydroxides, nes: 11 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 99.97%.
Tungsten hexafluoride: 130.01 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28.43%.
Sodium tungstate: 74.12 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 91.33%.
Ammonium metatungstate: 1 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 99.52%.
Carbides of tungsten: 8,241 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 72.61%.
Tungsten powders: 14.21 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 13.81%.
Unwrought tungsten, including bars & rods obtained simply by sintering: 164 kg, a year-on-year decrease of 92.14%.
Calcium wolframate: 120.50 tons (no record in the same period last year).
In addition, from January to April 2026, China imported:
Knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides, coated or plated: 306.78 tons, a year-on-year increase of 35.22%.
Other knives and cutting blades, for machines or for mechanical appliances, of metal carbides: 246.37 tons, a year-on-year increase of 38.79%.
