CTIA GROUP has compiled the data released by the General Administration of Customs regarding China’s molybdenum product import and export statistics as follows: From January to March 2026, China’s total molybdenum product imports amounted to 26,027.13 tons, increasing by 22.23% year-on-year; the total import value was RMB 4.304 billion, increasing by 40.15% year-on-year.

Among these, from January to March, China imported 7,602.23 tons of roasted molybdenum concentrate and its ores, increasing by 248.51% year-on-year; 15,875.98 tons of other molybdenum concentrates and ores, increasing by 0.99% year-on-year; 510.55 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increasing by 31.63% year-on-year; 623.02 tons of ammonium molybdate, increasing by 22.76% year-on-year; 413.85 tons of other molybdates, increasing by 13.93% year-on-year; 911.00 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreasing by 56.02% year-on-year; 0.45 tons of molybdenum powder, decreasing by 54.41% year-on-year; 8.11 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, increasing by 1,402.41% year-on-year; 45.84 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped products, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, decreasing by 9.56% year-on-year; 10.78 tons of molybdenum wire, increasing by 177.01% year-on-year; and 25.31 tons of other molybdenum products, increasing by 332.00% year-on-year.
From January to March 2026, China’s total molybdenum product exports amounted to 7,548.46 tons, decreasing by 20.84% year-on-year; the total export value was RMB 1.884 billion, decreasing by 8.06% year-on-year.

Among these, from January to March, China exported 3,687.90 tons of roasted molybdenum concentrate and its ores, increasing by 3.22% year-on-year; 1,323.83 tons of other molybdenum concentrates and ores, decreasing by 36.91% year-on-year; 347.41 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreasing by 42.90% year-on-year; 21.35 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreasing by 72.80% year-on-year; 71.84 tons of other molybdates, decreasing by 30.84% year-on-year; 1,209.00 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreasing by 26.67% year-on-year; 16.60 tons of molybdenum powder, increasing by 151.10% year-on-year; 397.29 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, decreasing by 22.66% year-on-year; 80.88 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped products, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, decreasing by 62.58% year-on-year; 69.49 tons of molybdenum wire, increasing by 3.66% year-on-year; 160.79 tons of molybdenum scrap and waste, decreasing by 72.01% year-on-year; and 162.06 tons of other molybdenum products, increasing by 245.77% year-on-year.
