CTIA GROUP has compiled the data released by the General Administration of Customs regarding China’s molybdenum product import and export statistics for March 2026 as follows: In March 2026, China imported 10,471.23 tons of molybdenum products, increasing by 33.74% month-on-month and 39.29% year-on-year. The import value was RMB 1.68 billion, increasing by 26.83% month-on-month and 47.92% year-on-year.

Among these, in March, China imported 2,921.98 tons of roasted molybdenum concentrate and its ores, increasing by 125.90% year-on-year; 6,646.14 tons of other molybdenum concentrates and ores, increasing by 32.87% year-on-year; 223.24 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, increasing by 1.32% year-on-year; 183.01 tons of ammonium molybdate, increasing by 125.92% year-on-year; 86.11 tons of other molybdates, increasing by 30.81% year-on-year; 384.00 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreasing by 54.12% year-on-year; 206.00 kilograms of molybdenum powder, decreasing by 32.90% year-on-year; 5,262.00 kilograms of unwrought molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, increasing by 526,100.00% year-on-year; 14.57 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped products, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, increasing by 2.71% year-on-year; 5.42 tons of molybdenum wire, increasing by 278.48% year-on-year; and 1.29 tons of other molybdenum products, decreasing by 29.29% year-on-year.
In March 2026, China exported 3,381.16 tons of molybdenum products, increasing by 91.92% month-on-month and 11.82% year-on-year. The export value was RMB 864 million, increasing by 0.37% month-on-month and 26.22% year-on-year.

Among these, in March, China exported 1,981.53 tons of roasted molybdenum concentrate and its ores, increasing by 56.03% year-on-year; 551.88 tons of other molybdenum concentrates and ores, increasing by 53.66% year-on-year; 177.47 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, decreasing by 43.76% year-on-year; 6.05 tons of ammonium molybdate, decreasing by 76.12% year-on-year; 24.35 tons of other molybdates, decreasing by 52.16% year-on-year; 290.50 tons of ferromolybdenum, decreasing by 29.82% year-on-year; 6.20 tons of molybdenum powder; 158.27 tons of unwrought molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, decreasing by 41.11% year-on-year; 35.07 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped products, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, increasing by 46.49% year-on-year; 26.01 tons of molybdenum wire, decreasing by 9.35% year-on-year; 57.03 tons of molybdenum scrap and waste, decreasing by 77.44% year-on-year; and 66.80 tons of other molybdenum products, increasing by 352.32% year-on-year.
