Rare earth market update on April 7, 2026
On Monday, the domestic rare earth prices showed a general upward trend, with the price of praseodymium oxide increasing by approximately RMB 25,000 per ton, neodymium-praseodymium oxide rising by around RMB 27,000 per ton, gadolinium oxide increasing by about RMB 10,000 per ton, and dysprosium-iron alloy rising by about RMB 20,000 per ton. This is mainly due to the strong price-holding willingness of suppliers, an increase in downstream replenishment demand, and positive market expectations for the future. Driven by the rise in praseodymium-neodymium raw material prices, the prices of neodymium-iron-boron billets and their scraps also increased, with the price of 55N neodymium-iron-boron billet blocks rising by about RMB 1 per kilogram.
In terms of news, from January 1 to March 25, 2026, China's manufacturing industry sales revenue increased by 5.4% year-on-year, accounting for 29.2% of the total national enterprise sales revenue.
