I. Rare Earth Price Trend Analysis in China from January to March 2026

According to CTIA GROUP LTD, the price trends of mainstream light and heavy rare earth products in China from January to March 2026 showed some differences. In the light rare earth market, due to prices being at relatively low levels at the time, high purchasing activity from downstream users before and after the Chinese New Year, the strategic importance of the metals, and expectations that praseodymium-neodymium supply would tighten in the future, praseodymium-neodymium prices showed a fluctuating increase in January and February. However, after entering March, due to slow downstream demand recovery and limited support factors, suppliers adjusted their quotes downward in a more rational manner. Nevertheless, the prices at the end of March were still higher than those at the beginning of January. From January to March, the price of praseodymium oxide increased by approximately 26.62%, the price of neodymium oxide increased by approximately 26.43%, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide increased by approximately 16.45%, and the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal increased by approximately 18.65%.
In the heavy rare earth market, the prices of dysprosium and terbium showed a trend of rising, falling, rising, and then falling again from January to March, with the prices at the end of March slightly higher than those at the beginning of January. From January to March, the price of terbium oxide increased by approximately 1.67%, the price of dysprosium oxide increased by approximately 2.96%, and the price of dysprosium-iron alloy increased by approximately 3.08%.
