I. Rare Earth Price Trend Analysis in China in March 2026

According to CTIA GROUP LTD, the price trend of mainstream light and heavy rare earth products in China in March 2026 showed a downward fluctuation. The price of praseodymium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 175,000 per ton, a decrease of 18.32%; the price of neodymium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 175,000 per ton, a decrease of 18.42%; the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 185,000 per ton, a decrease of 20.72%; the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal decreased by approximately RMB 222,000 per ton, a decrease of 20.18%; the price of terbium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 450 per kilogram, a decrease of 6.87%; the price of dysprosium oxide decreased by approximately RMB 250,000 per ton, a decrease of 14.72%; the price of dysprosium-iron alloy decreased by approximately RMB 260,000 per ton, a decrease of 16.25%.
By the end of March, the prices of mainstream light and heavy rare earth products were generally lower than the prices at the beginning of February. This suggests that the decrease in March was larger than the increase in February. In February, the price of praseodymium oxide increased by RMB 152,000 per ton, the price of neodymium oxide increased by RMB 150,000 per ton, the price of praseodymium-neodymium oxide increased by RMB 141,000 per ton, the price of praseodymium-neodymium metal increased by RMB 185,000 per ton, the price of terbium oxide increased by RMB 400 per kilogram, the price of dysprosium oxide increased by RMB 220,000 per ton, and the price of dysprosium-iron alloy increased by RMB 220,000 per ton.
The main reason for the decrease in rare earth prices in March was the rapid short-term price increase in February, leading to market demand for a correction. Additionally, the demand from downstream industries was below expectations, and the supply-demand imbalance caused prices to fall.
