CTIA GROUP LTD has compiled the customs data published by the General Administration of Customs on China's molybdenum product imports and exports as follows:
From January to February 2026, China’s total molybdenum product imports amounted to 15,555.91 tons, a year-on-year increase of 12.92%. The total import value was RMB 2.618 billion, a year-on-year increase of 35.25%.
Among these, from January to February, China imported 4,680.25 tons of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates, an increase of 427.13% year-on-year; 9,229.85 tons of other molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 13.88% year-on-year; 287.31 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, an increase of 71.51% year-on-year; 440.01 tons of ammonium molybdate, an increase of 3.17% year-on-year; 327.74 tons of other molybdate salts, an increase of 10.19% year-on-year; 527.00 tons of ferro-molybdenum, a decrease of 57.30% year-on-year; 244 kilograms of molybdenum powder, a decrease of 64.12% year-on-year; 2.85 tons of unrefined molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, an increase of 428.94% year-on-year; 31.27 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped materials, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, a decrease of 14.33% year-on-year; 5.37 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 118.03% year-on-year; and 24.02 tons of other molybdenum products, an increase of 495.19% year-on-year.
From January to February 2026, China’s total molybdenum product exports amounted to 4,167.30 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 36.00%. The total export value was RMB 1.02 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 25.24%.
Among these, from January to February, China exported 1,706.38 tons of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 25.90% year-on-year; 771.95 tons of other molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 55.61% year-on-year; 169.94 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, a decrease of 41.97% year-on-year; 15.30 tons of ammonium molybdate, a decrease of 71.22% year-on-year; 47.49 tons of other molybdate salts, a decrease of 10.35% year-on-year; 918.50 tons of ferro-molybdenum, a decrease of 25.62% year-on-year; 10.40 tons of molybdenum powder, an increase of 57.31% year-on-year; 239.03 tons of unrefined molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, a decrease of 2.41% year-on-year; 45.81 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped materials, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, a decrease of 76.17% year-on-year; 43.49 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 13.40% year-on-year; 103.76 tons of molybdenum scrap and waste, a decrease of 67.75% year-on-year; and 95.27 tons of other molybdenum products, an increase of 196.75% year-on-year.
