CTIA GROUP LTD has compiled the customs data published by the General Administration of Customs on China's molybdenum product imports and exports as follows:
In February 2026, China’s molybdenum product imports amounted to 7,829.46 tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.33% and a year-on-year increase of 20.32%. The import value was RMB 1.325 billion, a month-on-month increase of 20.32% and a year-on-year increase of 47.62%.
Among these, in February, China imported 2,628.64 tons of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates, an increase of 386.78% year-on-year; 4,572.49 tons of other molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 13.03% year-on-year; 136.75 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, an increase of 69.07% year-on-year; 100.00 tons of ammonium molybdate, a decrease of 63.77% year-on-year; 109.08 tons of other molybdate salts, an increase of 15.76% year-on-year; 240.00 tons of ferro-molybdenum, an increase of 5.26% year-on-year; 208.00 kilograms of molybdenum powder, a decrease of 50.48% year-on-year; 2,851.00 kilograms of unrefined molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, an increase of 429.93% year-on-year; 15.10 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped materials, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, a decrease of 42.56% year-on-year; 1.32 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 3.21% year-on-year; and 23.03 tons of other molybdenum products, an increase of 1,287.11% year-on-year.
In February 2026, China’s molybdenum product exports amounted to 1,897.90 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 16.37%, and a year-on-year decrease of 36.29%. The export value was RMB 450 million, a month-on-month decrease of 21.11%, and a year-on-year decrease of 25.83%.
Among these, in February, China exported 689.47 tons of roasted molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 43.96% year-on-year; 557.95 tons of other molybdenum ore and concentrates, a decrease of 46.01% year-on-year; 67.01 tons of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, a decrease of 40.06% year-on-year; 12.38 tons of ammonium molybdate, a decrease of 59.56% year-on-year; 28.03 tons of other molybdate salts, a decrease of 15.38% year-on-year; 317.00 tons of ferro-molybdenum, an increase of 21.92% year-on-year; 2.00 tons of molybdenum powder, an increase of 100% year-on-year; 92.99 tons of unrefined molybdenum, including simple sintered bars and rods, a decrease of 29.91% year-on-year; 19.70 tons of molybdenum bars, rods, profiles, and special-shaped materials, plates, sheets, strips, and foils, a decrease of 14.86% year-on-year; 18.36 tons of molybdenum wire, an increase of 10.56% year-on-year; 53.23 tons of molybdenum scrap and waste, a decrease of 41.28% year-on-year; and 39.80 tons of other molybdenum products, an increase of 136.52% year-on-year.
