According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, China’s new round of mineral exploration breakthrough strategy has made new progress. Multiple solid mineral resources, including rare earth mine, fluorite, barite, and antimony, have been discovered in Mianning County, Sichuan, and Dangchang County, Gansu.

China Rare Earth (Liangshan) Co., Ltd., as the mining right holder and geological exploration unit, has carried out the resource verification exploration project for rare earth resources in the Yakouping mining area of Mianning County, Sichuan Province. The minerals include rare earths, fluorite, and barite. The measurement unit for rare earths is the amount of rare earth oxides (tons), for fluorite it is the amount of CaF? (tons), and for barite it is the amount of BaSO? (tons). According to the exploration, the total rare earth resource in the mining area is 9,665,612 tons, with proven rare earth resources amounting to 1,567,985 tons, controlled rare earth resources of 4,575,765 tons, and inferred rare earth resources of 3,521,862 tons. The total fluorite resources in the mining area are 27,135,429 tons, with proven fluorite resources of 2,747,778 tons and inferred fluorite resources of 24,387,651 tons. The total barite resources in the mining area are 37,227,720 tons, with proven barite resources of 4,895,232 tons and inferred barite resources of 32,332,488 tons.

Gansu Sanchang Mining Co., Ltd., as the mining right holder and geological exploration unit, has completed the antimony resource verification project for the Wanshigou-Yindongliang mining section in Dangchang County, Gansu Province. The mineral type is antimony, and the resources are measured in metal tons. After verification, the total resource in the mining area is 51,455 tons, with proven resources of 36,011 tons, inferred resources of 24,699 tons, and controlled resources of -9,255 tons.
It is understood that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, China's new round of mineral exploration breakthrough strategy has achieved significant results: 10 large-scale oil fields and 19 large gas fields have been newly discovered, and the reserves of key mineral resources such as uranium, copper, gold, lithium, and potassium salts have significantly increased. At the same time, a number of world-class resource bases, such as the over 100-million-ton copper mine in Tibet, the super-large gold mine in Laizhou Xiling, Shandong, and the largest single lithium mine in Asia in Yajiang, Sichuan, have also been discovered.
