Rare earth market update on March 9, 2026
On Monday, the domestic rare earth prices showed a mixed trend, with the prices of praseodymium-neodymium oxide and holmium oxide increasing by approximately RMB 2,000 per ton and RMB 5,000 per ton, respectively. The prices of terbium oxide and dysprosium iron alloy decreased by approximately RMB 150,000 per ton and RMB 10,000 per ton, respectively. According to CTIA GROUP LTD, praseodymium-neodymium raw material supply remains relatively tight, and the downstream market's active purchasing behavior at lower prices has increased. Multiple factors are jointly supporting the dominant light rare earth suppliers' reluctant selling and price-supportive mindset.
